Privacy Notice for Applicants
We are excited that you are interested in us and have applied or are applying for a position in our company. Below, we would like to provide you with information regarding the processing of your personal data in connection with your application.
What data do we process from you, and for what purposes?
We process the data you have sent us in connection with your application to assess your suitability for the position (or, if applicable, other open positions in our company) and to carry out the application process.
What is the legal basis for this?
The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is primarily Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. According to this, the processing of data is permitted if it is necessary for making a decision regarding the establishment of an employment relationship.
If the data is required for legal action after the conclusion of the application process, data processing may be carried out based on the provisions of Article 6 of the GDPR, particularly to protect legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our interest in this case would be the assertion or defense of claims.
If special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR are processed (e.g., health data), the legal basis is Section 26(3) of the BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act) or Article 9(2)(b) of the GDPR in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
How long is the data stored?
In the event of a rejection, applicant data will be deleted after 6 months. If you are offered a position during the application process, the data from the applicant database will be transferred to our personnel information system.
To which recipients are the data passed on?
We use a dedicated applicant database for the application process. After receiving your application, your data will be reviewed by the HR department in the applicant database. Suitable applications are then internally forwarded to the department heads responsible for the respective open position. The further process is coordinated from there. Within the company, only those individuals who require access to your data for the proper conduct of the application process will have access to it.
Where is the data processed?
The data is processed exclusively in data centers within the Federal Republic of Germany.
Forwarding your data to third parties
If necessary for your request, we will forward the data collected on you to other companies of the ATRON Group (https://www.atron.com/en/contact.html).
