Long-Term Partnership for smart PT in Zagreb

Feldkirchen/Zagreb, April 2025 – Croatian public transport operator Zagrebački električni tramvaj (ZET) and the ATRON Group have renewed and expanded their long-standing partnership to drive forward the digitalization of urban mobility in Zagreb. ZET operates the city’s tram network, consisting of 15 lines, along with the municipal bus services, and has relied on ATRON technologies for more than 20 years.

At the beginning of 2025, ATRON successfully completed a comprehensive modernization project aimed at upgrading ZET’s traffic monitoring and management systems, marking a significant step in Zagreb’s public transport transformation.

New functions at a glance:

• Implementation of GTFS interfaces for the Moj ZET App, enabling passengers to better plan trips and transfers
• Integration of seven new passenger information displays into the ATRON backend system
• Deployment of a passenger counting system in newly introduced trams, utilizing the IBIS-IP interface for communication
• Upcoming rollout of a SIRI interface to facilitate real-time data exchange between the City of Zagreb and ZET
