ATRON remains sponsor of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra

Barbara Brunner, Managing Director of the ATRON Group, attended a concert of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, which took place in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall as part of the orchestra's Red Cycle, during a visit to the Croatian branch.

The concert featured performances of Krešimir Baranović's ballet suite Licitarsko srce, Karol Szymanowski's Second Violin Concerto for Orchestra and Sergei Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5. The conductor was Maestro Robert Farkas. The audience was particularly impressed by the young Japanese soloist Hina Maeda. She played Karol Szymanowski's concerto on a violin by Antonio Stradivari that is more than 300 years old.

“In this fruitful partnership, both partners stand out for their excellence, ATRON Group as a leading company in the field of innovative improving of European public transport, and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra in top performance of demanding and valuable compositions of world and domestic musical heritage and works of the contemporary composers”, Barbara Brunner points out after the concert.

By sponsoring the world-renowned Croatian orchestra, the ATRON Group confirms its strong presence on the Croatian market, where it has been operating for the last 20 years. Patronage of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra contributes to better recognition and visibility of the ATRON Group in Croatia.

The recording and production of a new CD - Ludwig van Beethoven & Dora Pejačević – was also sponsored by ATRON. On the recording, music lovers will find the performance of the Septet in E flat major, op. 20 by Ludwig van Beethoven and the Five Miniatures for violin and piano by Dora Pejačević by the chamber ensembles of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. The recordings are deliberately released in the year that marks the centenary of the death of the gifted Croatian composer Dora Pejačević.
