ATRON on the Smart Cities 2020 Lider Conference in Zagreb
This year, ATRON actively participated in the now traditional, sixth in a row Lider’s Smart Cities 2020 conference. Although held in specific conditions due to the corona crisis, the conference aroused great interest and attracted more than 200 guests at the Zagreb Fair. Representatives of Vienna, Eindhoven and Gijón joined the conference via video and gave their presentations.
The introductory speech was given by Holger Haibach, the director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Croatia and Slovenia, and the participants and guests were greeted by Milan Bandić, the Mayor of Zagreb.ATRON Sales Director Thomas Müller gave a notable presentation with special reference to ATRON’s projects in Sweden. He also participated in a panel discussion dealing with mobility, among other things. The main message of his presentation, “Smaller cities can sometimes do much better than large ones because of less administrative work and faster decision-making abilities”, is an incentive for local governments to embark on projects based on smart solutions faster and more decisively.
On the day of the conference, an interview with Thomas Müller was published in the LIDER journal.
Numerous meetings with representatives of city administrations and city passenger transport companies were held on the sidelines of the conference.
