ATRON - smart solutions for challenging times

Under the motto “smart solutions for challenging times”, ATRON supports public transport companies in these challenging times in transporting passengers from door to door not only in a climate-friendly way, but also with minimal contact.

From December 1st to 3rd, 2020 ATRON will present the new portfolio of innovative software solutions of the new RX series at IT-TRANS (Stand N21, Hall 1). In addition to new products for e-ticketing, the innovative RX driver app and the RX fleet operating system in the depot ensures safe and contact-free work.

The ATRON team will be glad to present the new AFA 150 ticket vending machine for the cashless payment of e-tickets and paper tickets. Despite the two integrated printing units, this ticket vending machine is an extremely compact solution and can be comfortably used in buses and trains. In the stationary version, it can be obtained as a sales channel available around the clock in the customer centre, a train platform or a highly frequented bus stop. With the 10 inch display a fast ticket selection is possible; furthermore it can be used as a real time timetable display. Tickets can be issued electronically (VDV-KA, ATRON Token Ticket, Swiss Pass) or as a paper ticket. An integrated EMV reader is available for quick cashless payment.

As an even more compact version, the ACT 420 validator complements the e-ticketing portfolio. This solution can not only be used for entrance control, for reading contactless e-ticket cards (VDV-KA, Swiss Pass, Account Based Token Ticketing), 2D barcodes on mobile phone apps and paper tickets, but also as a vending machine for e-tickets. E-tickets can be quickly selected and purchased by using the touch screen. In the EMV contactless version, open / closed loop scenarios or national ticketing systems (e.g. Sweden) can also be integrated.

With the Driver App RX, the ATRON on-board computers transmit the current status of the vehicle to the depot while the vehicle is in motion, without the driver having to do anything. The automated Fleet Operating System RX also transmits all status data such as oil temperature and fill level of the tank or battery. The colleagues in the depot receive all relevant data for the entire fleet in a contactless and reliable manner. This enables predictive maintenance and thus reduces repair and operating costs. An open data interface ensures the connection to depot management systems. Information is no longer passed on paper - that gives more security.

With the also newly developed ATRON autonomic logbook RX, the complex and error-prone manual keeping of logbooks has come to an end. This reduces the administrative effort and at the same time relieves the driver. Applications for tax relief and subcontractor accounting can be created by the push of a button. In addition to saving work, the system guarantees the correctness and consistency of the data, which can withstand a check by customs and tax authorities. Neither manual data entry nor additional end devices or apps are required for this.

In a bus simulation, exhibiton visitors can experience the performance of the innovative FMS gateway live on the ATRON vehicle computer AFR 4. Vehicle status and driving data are bundled and transmitted in real time to the control centre, depot and workshop. In connection with the FMS gateway, the AFR 4 becomes the data and communication centre in the vehicles.

ATRON is one of the few suppliers who offer the entire package of hardware, software and services from a single source. ATRON has stood for high-tech from Bavaria for 40 years.
