ATRON at the Al BattleGround Hackathon

This year, ATRON participated as a sponsor in an artificial intelligence programming hackathon organised by the BEST Zagreb student association.

The competition took place on 04thand 05th December 2020 and the sponsors presentations were held via the Discord platform. The remarkable presentation was held by Iris Žuža (ATRON representative).

The participation in the speed networking confirmed that the students are very interested in working at ATRON. Welcome packages with promotional materials from BEST and competition sponsors were distributed to all participants. ATRON as a sponsor also secured access to the BEST Career Centre CV database.

Iris Žuža is satisfied with our company's performance: "The presentation went great, and based on this, 6 competition teams applied for interviews via Speed Networking. Developers are mainly interested in working on the background system, in our architecture and in the technologies we use on the background system. Many students are interested in internships at ATRON, and I shared our positive experience so far.“

The statement of the representative of the BEST Zagreb student association Luka Klinčić is conveyed in full:

"AI BattleGround is one of the leading hackathons for students in artificial intelligence programming, developed here in Zagreb, but also recognised throughout the region and Europe. During the six years of AI BattleGround's competition was supported by many leading companies in the IT industry. We are especially glad that ATRON was among them at this year's edition, introducing our teams members to their field of business and standing out as one of the most desirable employers between many IT companies located in this area. This year has brought many challenges for the industry as well as for us. We are very grateful to everyone at ATRON for their interest in AI BattleGround and promoting artificial intelligence among the students from the very beginning of the competition!"
